Login_manager_v1.2

 Login manager v1.2 readme.

Changes since v1.1:

* Users now have their own version or settings and preferences for those
programs that store these outside the env-archive, e.g. AmiStart's preferences
or OWB's bookmarks file. This includes icons, so if settings are stored in
tooltypes each user can have their own version of these.

* Bubble help for all login_database gadgets.

* Easy updating from version 1.1 (see below).

* Both login_database and login program have a banner which states the version
number, so  the user can confirm they have the correct pairing.

To install v1.1 from 'scratch', just follow the intallation method in the
Instructions.PDFfile.

To update from version 1.1 to version 1.2

(1) Make a backup of your current login drawer, just to be safe. Ensure your
login_file is up to date by pressing the 'Create login file' button in your
current version of the login database.

(2) Reboot and login as Default.

(3) Copy across the new login drawer.

(4) Load the new login database. This will be empty. Press the 'Reload' button
on the control panel to reload the user profiles. Save the database. The update
is now complete.

To update from version 1.0 to 1.2:

Unfortunately, due to the fact that MUIBase combines the database structure,
code and records into one file, I've realised this will cause problems updating
to a new version of the logon database from v1.0. The format of the login file
has now been extended to allow future updates to be straightforward. However,
for this updating from 1.0 only, I'm afraid any user accounts already created
will need to be re-entered after the update to v1.2. However, the env-archives,
WBStartups and user-startups created for these users will not be overwritten, so
once the users have been recreated in the database they will have their settings
as before. As mentioned, this will not need to be done for future updates - 
sorry for the inconvenience in this one.

(1) Make a backup of your current login drawer, just to be safe.

(2) Login as Default user.

(3) Copy across the new login drawer.

(4) Start the login database and re-enter your user's user names, pictures and
assigns. Also, the path to Workspaces (if you are using it) and other settings
will need to be re-entered. Sorry again for this.

(5) Create the login file and save the database.

Note: the new login program will not work with the old format of the login file,
so it must be re-made before the next login.
