The program can view saved slideshows, and play videos in various formats. FEATURES -------- - Can save created slideshows as videos in the MJPEG/AVI format - Delays between images, video resolution, and the output framerate can be freely defined - Texts can be added over images, for titling or information purposes - Texts can be formatted in various ways: bold, italics, underlined, shadow, outline, RGB/ARGB colors, etc. - Slideshow projects can be saved in the program's own format - Slideshows can be viewed within the program prior to saving them as videos - Can play its own saved videos, and a variety of other video formats - ARexx, Command Line, and tooltypes support INSTALLATION ------------ - Copy the whole directory anywhere you want and just launch the program. USAGE NOTES ----------- - Spacebar pauses and Esc quits viewing of slideshows and videos. - Images are swapped with the Left and Right keys when in manual viewing mode. - Videos can be seeked through by using the Left/Right/Up/Down keys. - Text formatting options are explained at: https://www.hollywood-mal.com/docs/html/hollywood/PrgFormatTags_.html - Previous delay setting and formatting options at the start of a line are preserved for a new entry when adding further images. - Line breaks can be added with the n tag in texts. - Text placement and font settings can be altered from the Settings window. SETTINGS -------- Program settings can be accessed from the program's pull-down menu and are saved to the ENVARC:MUI/RNOSLIDES.cfg file. COMMAND LINE OPTIONS AND ICON TOOLTYPES --------------------------------------- RNOSlides uses non-standard command line arguments. Arguments must be given in the form of (note the "-" prefix): -argument parameter Format: RNOSlides [file/dir] [arguments] Arguments: -play . . . . . . . . - Play a loaded slideshow at startup automatically -nogui . . . . . . . - Play a slideshow or video without the editing GUI -defdir <dir> . . . . - Set a default directory to open images Examples: RNOSlides Projects/example.rnos RNOSlides Work:Pics/Slides/ -play RNOSlides Work:Videos/slides.avi -nogui The same arguments can be used as icon tooltypes, but by omitting the "-" prefix. Examples: DEFDIR=Work:Pics AREXX ----- Program's ARexx port is RNOSLIDES and supported commands are: PLAY . . . . . . . . . . . . - Plays the current slideshow project. PAUSE . . . . . . . . . . . - Toggles pause On/Off. STOP . . . . . . . . . . . . - Stops the playing slideshow. ADD <file|dir> . . . . . . . - Adds files or directories to the slides list. REMOVEALL . . . . . . . . . - Removes all entries from the slides list. PLAYVIDEO <file> . . . . . . - Plays a video file. STOPVIDEO . . . . . . . . . - Stops the video playback. ICONIFY <0|1> .. . . . . . . - Iconifies (1) or un-iconifies (0) the program. QUIT . . . . . . . . . . . . - Quits the program. GET <STATE|ICONIFY> . . . . - Returns the requested information.
