 Installing the rom files:

 This game needs rom files that are not included with this
 package. Cannonball requires the OutRun revision B romset.

 If you don't have the romset, not to worry. A simple internet
 search should get results. I found a suitable romset (856.4 kb) at
 http://doperoms.com/files/roms/mame/outrun.zip/672644/outrun.zip

 Unpack the files to the directory named roms. It may be hidden,
 so change to 'show all files' to see it. For more details, read
 roms/roms.txt.

 After the rom files are in the roms directory, the game should
 start when clicked. But there may be some issues.

 If you get the error 'cannot open rom: epr-10381a.132'  you should
 rename epr-10381b.132 to epr-10381a.132. The game seems more stable
 with this file properly opened.

 If you get the error 'cannot open rom: opr-10188.71f' and you don't
 have the file, go to the sound settings and set 'fix samples' off.

 Also, don't change the (default) world tracks setting. The game
 will not run the Japan tracks without additional Japanese roms.

 esc key = exit to AROS

 [In the Menu]
 Use arrows and z key (or joypad) to select options.

 [In the Game]
 5 key or joy(5)  = insert coin
 1 key or joy(3)  = start game
 z key or joy(1)  = gas
 x key or joy(2)  = brake
 arrows or joypad = steer
 space or joy(4)  = change gear (toggles low and high gear)
 left-shift or joy(6) = change view

 f1 = pause game
 f2 = step (steps to next frame, if paused)
 f3 = toggle countdown timer
 f5 or joy(7) = exit to main menu

 If you use VESA graphics:

 Some VESA screen resolutions do not work well, when Cannonball is
 in fullscreen mode. You might get an error or a black screen and
 have to reboot. Try reducing the scale or try booting with another
 VESA resolution. And remember, the window mode is very nice too.

 If the audio is slow, noisy, or choppy:
----------------------------------------------------------------
 Lower the video framerate to 30 fps (this will usually fix things).
 Turn off scanlines option (scanlines can slow the game also).
 Switch to window mode and reduce the scale factor (if you are
 still having problems).

 Or you can turn audio off, if it's an issue and you prefer having
 the higher video options.
